Dayton Hillclimber Coupe Pressed Steel Toy $300
This is a a Dayton coupe. It is a later one with a friction drive unit. IT has a rumble seat like seam in the rear but there is no actual seat or pop up. It is about 13 inches long. The friction drive is no longer working. There is the normal paint loss. The left headlight and fender support is not attached but is included. O422 -
Gibbs Aero Climbers in Store Display Box $60
This is an original store display sales box full of Gibbs Aero Climbers. The box says it contains 6 dozen. When counting there are the 6 dozen, plus another 4 pieces. The box has a pop-up flap in the lid which looks like it was never used. The Aero Climbers, while having a primitive look, actually work really well! They measure about 6" long. There is some wear to the corners of the box and a little bit of a crease on the bottom. But I am knit-picking it. The climbers themselves all look fine. The box says "just roll the shaft rapidly between the hands and let go". I was doing one with just an adult hand slide and it flew quite nicely! -
Dayton Hillclimber Dump Truck Pressed Steel Antique Toy $275
This is a Dayton Hillclimber dump truck. This is a bit of an odd one, which I have not seen before. It has a small tab behind the driver's seat that holds the bed down and is balanced so the bed will dump without much effort. The other unique thing about this truck is that the tailgate is permanently fixed, so it does not flap open. It has the large Dayton flywheel and works well. It has lots of gold pin striping on the bed and on the hood, along with the normal other pinstripes. There is a bit of a dent in the nose panel and it has the normal other wear, paint loss, scratches and such you would expect, but it is in very good paint for an old Hillclimber. It measures approximately 13 1/2" long and 6" high. T157 -
Schieble Little Jim Fire Pumper Antique Toy Truck $420
This is a late Schieble fire pumper truck. This one was sold by JC Penney and has the Little Jim logo on the seat. This style was never powered. It is about 20" long. The fire hose I believe is a replacement, and the spool might be also. There is a spot weld on the right front fender that may be newer. The rear step panel is no longer welded on the left side. The left front back of the hood has a bit of a ripple to it though I think it may be original. There is some paint loss and light rusting here and there. The 2 slots in the hood I have never seen anything actually there. M462 -
Schieble Parcel Post Hillclimber Toy Car $350
This is a Hillclimber Parcel Post car. This is a fairly rare body style, which has a narrow rear seat area and a large cargo region in the front. It is about 13" long. The flywheel system does work somewhat. The front axle to wheel connection is loose, so those wheels like to flop around. It used to have small fenders coming from the running board, which are gone. It is also missing the cargo box roof. There is some paint loss throughout. On the left side you can see the "Parcel Post" imprint, it is very faint to unreadable on the right side. N194 -
Dayton Hillclimber 3 Seat Roadster Early Friction Toy $300
This 3-seat Hillclimber roadster was made by Dayton. It measures a little over 11" long and 4 1/2" tall at the "windshield". It still has all 3 seats attached as well as the removable steering wheel. There is a bit of paint wear and the front fender tabs are no longer attached. Still a fantastic (and somewhat scarce) piece to add to your collection! M233 -
Schieble Hillclimber Touring Car Pressed Steel Toy $200
This is a Schieble Hillclimber Touring Car. It is about 13" long and 5" tall. It has the Schieble six-wheel system with a think flywheel, which does kind of work. There is some bending, mostly on the fenders, and some wear to the paint. The nose panel is smooth, and there is some inconsistencies to rust in that region. I almost think it might be a replacement, but it was done well. M589 -
Mason Parker Auto Dray Gear Drive $1,100
This is a Mason Parker Auto Dray. It was made in Winchendon Massachusetts and has a weighted flywheel with a gear drive system. It has pressed steel body and seat and a wood base. The sides are stenciled with a litho like background. The right side is a bit faded. There is some paint loss. The steering wheel and shaft may be a replacement. The gear on the flywheel has some wear so it does not work well. K560 -
Schieble Hillclimber Open Roadster Toy Car $200
This is a Schieble open roadster Hillclimber. This one measures about 13" long and features a 2nd rear axle to power it. The Hillclimber mechanism, like most this style, does not work very well. There is heavy paint loss and there is more paint flaking off as it gets handled. The yellow detail paint is actually very decent. This is a good example to show the lack of prep before they were painted. M471
